Bitch approuval conditions
Breeding a Bulldog is not something one should do lightly. You may find when you contact us that we will try to discourage you from breeding. The truth is we will be telling you the truth
about what raising a Bulldog litter really is if you are lucky enough to have a litter. Because your want to have a litter may take your girls life and her puppies with her.
We always try to educate and mentor people, and will do so with you.
The following conditions are a must. If you cannot offer proof that these conditions are met please do not contact us for stud services.
1- The bitch must be registered with an official registry that is accepted world wide. These registries are the official kennel clubs for their respective country. You can view the accepted kennel clubs at : Canadas guide to dogs . Please note that although United Kennel Club is mentioned in this list, we do not breed to dogs solely registered with the UKC.
2- The bitch cannot be a puppy. Just because she came into season does not make her of suitable age to breed.
3- The bitch must have an OFA cardiac number that we will verify on the OFA website. This is a simple test and can be performed by your vet and your vet can fill out the paper work as well. This test can be done as of 12 months of age and so is easily done before the bitch is of breeding age.
4- The bitch must have and OFA number for thyroid. Thyroid problems can cause sterility. We cannot guaranty a breeding if you cannot guaranty that no thyroid problem will prevent your female becoming pregnant.
5- If you sell a puppy as a pet it has to be sold on a non breeding (limited registration) contract preferably with a strict spay/neuter clause.
We will be adding conditions on our males. More OFA tests will be required as time goes on. Amongst these will be hip, elbow, spine and CERF. The health of our breed is a priority and it should be as much for you. If you already have these test, please mention them when you inquire about a breeding.
